Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) exists to make the most of the lives of children and young people with life-limiting conditions which means that they will die before reaching adulthood. Their belief is that the best way they can do this is to wrap their care around families who have received these unspeakable diagnoses. They journey with all the family members from the point of diagnosis until the death of their child, into bereavement and beyond. This podcast looks at the way that families are supported at these terrible times, and despite the need, there is some happiness derived from their activities. It concludes by a reading of a poem written and published in support of the hospices.
